An Aluminum Chemical Tanker Trailer can carry chemicals compatible with the aluminum alloy, seals, valves and piping. Chemical tankers are available in dedicated single-tank or compartmented layouts, with anti-sloshing baffles and cargo-specific sealing systems. The cargo SDS is used to check material compatibility before the tank specification is fixed.
An Aluminum Tank Trailer can be built for fuel, compatible chemicals, edible liquids or water, but these services have different cleanliness, sealing and contamination-control requirements. Residues can remain in piping, valves and seals after discharge, so cargo history and cleaning requirements affect whether a tanker can change service.
An Aluminum Fuel Tanker Trailer can use a single tank space or 2–6 liquid-tight compartments. Separate compartments allow different products or delivery quantities to remain isolated. Anti-sloshing baffles can be installed inside each compartment without creating additional cargo compartments.
In an Aluminium Tanker Trailer, compartments are separated by liquid-tight bulkheads and do not allow cargo to flow between them. Baffles contain openings and allow liquid movement within the same cargo space while reducing surge. A 45,000L tanker can have four compartments with additional baffles inside those compartments.
Usable capacity depends on cargo density, trailer tare weight and legal vehicle weight. In a 45,000L Aluminum Tanker Trailer, liquid at 0.75 kg/L weighs about 33.75 tonnes; liquid at 0.85 kg/L weighs about 38.25 tonnes. The same tank volume can therefore produce very different payload weights.

Aluminum surfaces also need protection from salt contamination, trapped moisture and galvanic contact with dissimilar metals.
