Your Trusted Fuel Tanker Semi Trailer Manufacturer and Supplier in China

LionKar is a China-based fuel tanker semi trailer manufacturer and supplier with 17 years of industry experience.

LionKar fuel tanker semi trailers with carbon steel is the common cost-effective choice, while aluminum alloy can reduce tanker tare weight where payload efficiency is important. Multi-compartment tanks are useful when a fleet needs separate products or several delivery drops on one route. Top loading, bottom loading, 3- or 4-inch discharge systems, vapor recovery, overfill protection, pumps and metering equipment can be configured according to depot interfaces and operating requirements.

For compatible terminals, the fuel tanker semi trailer can use bottom-loading connections, pneumatic emergency bottom valves and 3- or 4-inch discharge outlets positioned for ground-level operation. Closed couplings simplify hose connection and reduce the need for tank-top access, while pneumatic emergency controls can shut the product flow quickly when required. Optional vapor recovery, overfill sensors, pumps and meters can be matched to the depot interface instead of adding equipment the operation does not need.

Fuel Tanker Trailer Types

2 Axle 20,000L Fuel Tanker Semi Trailer

The smaller configuration helps control axle loading, simplifies access on tighter routes, and suits customers who do not need the weight and cost of a larger tanker.

3 Axle 35,000L Fuel Tanker Semi Trailer

Optional multi-compartment layout balances capacity, axle loading and delivery flexibility. It helps operators maximize usable tank volume while keeping the trailer compatible with common 3-axle prime mover combinations in Uganda.

3 Axle 45,000L Aluminum Fuel Tanker Semi Trailer

With an aluminum tank, 3-axle chassis and optional multi-compartment design to reduce trailer tare weight while maintaining high nominal capacity. It improves payload efficiency, reduces corrosion concerns and helps fleets control dead weight where higher-capacity tanker operation is legally permitted.

3 Axle 42,000L Fuel Tanker Semi Trailer

Optional 3–6 compartment layout brings higher-volume transport. Separate compartments reduce product mixing risk and allow different delivery quantities to be carried in one trip, while the larger tank reduces transport frequency where local regulations permit.

Detail Videos of Fuel Tanker Trailers

LionKar prepares fuel tanker trailers for Uganda for sea shipment through regional ports such as Mombasa or Dar es Salaam, with exposed steel protected, tank openings sealed and vulnerable valves secured before inland transport.

This 42,000L aluminum fuel tanker trailer combines a lightweight aluminum tank, 3-axle running gear and multi-compartment options. Lower tare weight improves weight efficiency for long-distance transport, but Uganda road use requires the final tank capacity and loading volume to match current axle and vehicle-load rules.

This 45 CBM fuel tanker trailer uses a large-volume tank, 3-axle chassis and configurable compartments for high-volume petroleum transport. Separate compartments support different delivery quantities, while the larger tank suits markets or operating conditions where this capacity is legally permitted rather than standard Uganda public-road use.

Why Choose LionKar Fuel Tanker Semi Trailers for countries such as Uganda

LionKar fuel tanker semi trailers combine load-matched vehicle design, controlled liquid movement, practical fuel handling systems and material options to improve payload utilization and daily operating efficiency.

Tank Capacity and Axle Layout Engineered Together

Tank capacity, trailer tare weight, axle position and tractor configuration are matched as one vehicle system. Proper weight distribution helps prevent excessive loading on individual axle groups and avoids adding tank volume that cannot be used legally.

In Uganda, where allowable tank volume depends directly on the tractor-trailer axle combination and combined tare weight, this approach helps buyers select a more practical capacity and make better use of the available legal load.

Carbon Steel or Aluminum to Match Cost and Weight Priorities

Carbon steel offers a cost-effective tank structure with familiar fabrication and repair methods, making it practical for fleets focused on initial purchase cost. Aluminum alloy has a much lower material density and does not rust like carbon steel, helping reduce tanker tare weight and corrosion-related maintenance.

For Uganda, the lower tare weight can also provide more margin when matching the complete tractor-trailer combination to statutory tare and axle-load limits.

Fuel Tanker Trailer Details, Parts & Components

Axles and suspension carry and distribute the load, while bottom valves, seals, manholes and discharge components control fuel handling. Matching these parts to the tanker weight and operating route helps reduce uneven loading, leakage risk, premature wear and unnecessary maintenance.

Fuel Tanker Semi Trailer Applications‌

Fuel tanker semi trailers move petroleum products out of Kenya’s pipeline-linked depots and into areas the pipeline never reaches. Because the fuel tank can be divided into separate compartments, more than one product can be delivered on a single run, and a payload matched to the tractor lets operators plan road haulage around loading conditions and axle-weight ceilings.

Service Stations and Roadside Fuel Retailing‌

A 35,000-litre, three-axle multi-compartment petroleum tanker trailer carries petrol and diesel from depots in the Nairobi area and delivered to filling stations. With sealed compartments and dedicated discharge outlets, several fuel grades can be carried at once and discharged to designated underground storage tanks according to schedule.

Construction Sites and Industrial Fuel Supply‌

A 20,000-litre, two-axle diesel tanker semi-trailer keeps construction compounds and industrial plants supplied with bulk diesel for generators and machinery. Since the load is discharged by gravity into a suitable on-site storage tank, there is no need to park the trailer alongside each individual machine; the suitability of the tractor must nonetheless be checked.

Cross-Border Haulage and Wholesale Distribution‌

A 35,000-litre, three-axle cross-border fuel tanker semi-trailer transports petrol or diesel at depots around Eldoret and hauled towards Uganda along the Malaba corridor. Its bulk-delivery configuration is built to serve wholesale storage terminals, though approved axle loads, cargo limits, and customs formalities all apply.

Agricultural Supply and Regional Fuel Distribution‌

a 28,000-litre, three-axle regional fuel distribution trailer drawn by a suitably matched two-axle tractor loads diesel to agricultural cooperatives and county-level depots. These bulk loads top up the fixed tanks that feed tractors and irrigation pumps, while smaller trucks take care of deliveries at farm level.

What Our Customers Say About Lionkar Tanker Trailers

Fleet customers visiting LionKar usually examine tank construction, payload efficiency, running gear and maintenance access. These details help them judge whether a fuel tanker trailer will suit their actual route, cargo and operating conditions.

A Nigerian petroleum distributor was particularly interested in the tanker’s multi-compartment structure and separate discharge lines. For station distribution, several liquid-tight sections allow different delivery volumes to be carried on one route.

A Zambian transport customer focused on chassis construction, axle selection and suspension during the factory visit. Long-distance petroleum routes place continuous load on the running gear, so he valued a configuration where axle capacity, chassis strength and suspension were matched to the tanker.

An Ethiopian customer showed strong interest in the aluminum tanker because its lower material density reduces trailer tare weight compared with a similar steel design. He saw this as useful where fleets need to control dead weight while still working within legal axle and gross vehicle limits.

Fuel Tanker Trailer Packaging & Shipment Preparation

Each fuel tanker semi trailer for Uganda is inspected for tank tightness, weld quality, valves, brakes, axles and electrical functions before shipment. For sea transport through Mombasa or Dar es Salaam, exposed steel parts receive anti-rust protection, tank openings are sealed, accessories are secured, and vulnerable valves and fittings are protected against salt spray, impact and moisture during port handling and inland transit.

Fuel Tanker Trailer FAQs

Find practical answers about legal capacity, tractor matching, compartments, fuel loading, calibration and fuel tanker trailer operation in Uganda.

What fuel tanker semi trailer capacity is allowed on Uganda public roads?

The maximum standard tank capacity is 35 m³ for a 3-axle fuel tanker semi trailer matched with a 3-axle prime mover, provided the combined tare weight does not exceed 18,000 kg.

Uganda links tank volume directly to axle configuration and tare weight. The current limits are 28 m³ for a 3-axle trailer with a 2-axle tractor, 24 m³ for a 2-axle trailer with a 3-axle tractor, and 19 m³ for a 2+2 combination. Tank size therefore needs to be selected together with the prime mover, not as a standalone specification.

No. A 35,000L tanker can carry up to 35 m³ of petrol, but the legal diesel volume is lower under the same vehicle configuration.

For the common 3-axle trailer and 3-axle prime mover combination, the current limits are 35 m³ for petrol, 34 m³ for kerosene or aviation fuel, 31 m³ for diesel, and 30 m³ for industrial diesel. The tank’s nominal capacity and its legal cargo volume are therefore not the same.

A 35 CBM fuel tanker semi trailer should be matched with a 3-axle prime mover under Uganda’s current 35 m³ tanker category.

The complete tractor-trailer combination must also have a tare weight of no more than 18,000 kg. A 3-axle tractor is commonly a 6×4 unit, but axle count and tare weight are the legal factors that matter. Fifth-wheel height, kingpin size and tractor geometry should also be checked before the tanker is built.

Normally no. Under Uganda’s current standard liquid-tanker schedule, reducing the load does not make a 42,000L or 45,000L tank equivalent to a legal 35 m³ tanker.

The regulation limits the tank’s volumetric capacity itself, not only the amount of liquid carried. For standard public-road operation, the largest listed semi-trailer combination is 35 m³. Larger tankers should only be selected where a different legal framework, permit or operating condition has been confirmed.

No. Three 13-ton rated axles do not give the trailer a legal 39-ton road load in Uganda.

The 13-ton figure is the manufacturer’s axle component rating. Uganda currently limits a conventional tridem axle group with 12 tyres to 24 metric tonnes. Higher-rated axles can provide mechanical reserve, but they do not increase the statutory axle-load allowance. Cargo, chassis and tank weight still have to remain within legal axle-group and gross-weight limits.

Most fuel tanker semi trailers can use 1–6 compartments, but the right number depends on the delivery route, product mix and unloading pattern.

Fewer, larger compartments are more suitable for bulk depot transfer. Three to five compartments are often more practical for multi-drop delivery because each section can carry a separate delivery quantity. Liquid-tight bulkheads isolate the compartments, while internal anti-surge baffles reduce forward and backward liquid movement during braking and acceleration. Unequal compartment sizes can also be designed around actual route demand.

Petrol, diesel and kerosene can use the same basic atmospheric petroleum tanker design, but Jet A-1 requires stricter cleanliness and contamination control.

The legal loading volume, seals, compartment arrangement and loading interfaces may change with the product. Product switching also requires appropriate cleaning and operating procedures. Aviation fuel should be specified against the receiving operator’s quality requirements. LPG is different and requires a dedicated pressure tanker rather than a standard fuel tanker semi trailer.
